[ Ardyn reaching past Nyx once he put his body between them would have caused a scene and that was something he wanted to avoid if it wasn't being started by Lunafreya. When the contact is broken between her and the Chancellor for good, it's as though she's breathing for the first time in a lifetime.
Luna tries to not hold onto Nyx as though her life was dependent upon his support, but it's difficult. Part of her just wants to collapse, not move for a week or so... But that isn't going to be possible. There was too much that needed to be done tonight before they moved forward with the treaty signing. If Ardyn was hosting a daemon and was allowed anywhere near the King without his standard protection detail, it could be a disaster. This city could be leveled by dawn of the following day, another Kingdom claimed through bloodshed and blight.

The pain wasn't subsiding quickly, significant enough that she doesn't speak for a long moment. The chill of the wall is refreshing on her back, swallowing hard as she tries to organize her thoughts. ]
It was nothing, I will be fine. [ Yes, that's believable with how she's still shaking and clutching her arm as though she'd been burned. ] I need to speak with King Regis immediately.
